Also known as converging lens or positive lens, these Double Convex Glass Lenses from United Scientific are superior quality aids, each with two outwardly curved surfaces and a positive focal length of 100 millimeters (mm). Diameter of each lens is 50 millimeters (mm). The convex lens is used to solve the problem of farsightedness or Hypermetropia by bending the light ray, which shortens the focal length and makes the light ray focus on the retina in a proper way. It's also used in cameras for focusing and magnifying images. Use this pair for research studies or teaching demonstrations in geometric optics, physics, and other general optic lessons.
